Band Hatton Button welcomes Daniel Blood

Daniel Blood arrives with a wealth of experience.

A thriving commercial property market has triggered a Midlands law firm to sign up a well-known solicitor during a recruitment drive to aid its growth plans.

Daniel Blood, who lives in Knowle, joins Coventry-based Band Hatton Button as a partner in the commercial property department, and brings a solid client base with him including several businesses from the Solihull area, and two lucrative clients - the Heart of England Co-Operative and an O2 franchisee.

The 40-year-old arrives with a wealth of commercial property experience, having spent eleven years at Sydney Mitchell LLP in Solihull and five years at Cocks Lloyd Solicitors in Nuneaton.

In his new role Daniel will be applying all of the experience he has built up working across acquisitions and disposals, landlord and tenant work, site assembly and development site sales to identify and exploit key growth areas for the department.

Daniel said: "I'm thrilled to be joining Band Hatton Button which has a great team brimming with experience across a variety of sectors".

"I'm also extremely proud that several clients are following me into my new role, which I believe is down to the great relationships I have built up, along with my efficient manner and attention to detail in explaining tricky processes".

"It's an exciting time to be working in the commercial property sector which is experiencing a spike at the minute. I believe the uncertainty around Brexit is fuelling interest from property investors looking to purchase well-priced commercial property prior to article 50 being invoked."

Mark Moseley, managing director at Band Hatton Button, said: "Securing Daniel's services is a massive coup for us because of the professional reputation he has.

"He has an impressive client base and track record of handling complex, multi-million pound deals in a pressurised environment, vital experience that can be passed on to our team as we continue to develop the firm.

"Despite Brexit we're continuing to see an increase in demand from small to medium-sized businesses wanting to purchase property, which has allowed us to invest in the next generation of lawyers such as Raman and Francesca.

"We have another senior lawyer joining our commercial property department shortly and will continue to recruit across the firm as our plans to grow take real shape.

"It's an exciting time to be at Band Hatton Button and I am looking forward to seeing our new recruits settle in and help us to drive the business forward."
