Tiny Teddies nursery grows with fifth location

Outside the new location

Nursery chain Tiny Teddies is to expand to a new location in the Coventry area with thanks to new funding from Yorkshire Bank.

The facility at Chapelfields will be the organisation's fifth nursery and will double the size of their previous location in the Village Hotel, growing capacity from 22 to 61 children.

The new nursery is only a mile from the previous premises, and is conveniently situated close to the popular commuter routes to Birmingham.

The move was made possible by a six figure funding package put together by Richard Hornsey, Relationship Manager at Yorkshire Bank, which has continually supported the local business since its formation in 2003.

Coventry law firm Band Hatton Button, in Warwick Road, acted on behalf of Tiny Teddies Day Nursery to acquire the former Forrest Medical Centre site, which is currently undergoing major refurbishment to include three large rooms tailored to different age groups, a garden and meeting rooms.

Tiny Teddies Day Nursery Ltd currently employs 65 members of staff across all sites and out of school clubs and plans to provide new opportunities with the increased capacity of the new site.

Chapelfields will open its doors on 23 November for current attendees and new enrolment. An open day will be held on the following Saturday 28 November from 12pm - 4pm for the local community and will be attended by special guest, the Lord Mayor, Michael Hammon.

Paul Ingram, Managing Director of Tiny Teddies said: "My wife and I couldn't have imagined opening five nurseries when we started twelve years ago.

"We've found a fantastic, supportive community where the business has thrived and with the help of Band Hatton Button and Yorkshire Bank's flexible funding we've been able to expand our offerings and provide over 74 jobs in the local area.

Gareth Jones, Head of Clydesdale Bank's Business and Private Banking Centre in Birmingham, said: "Yorkshire Bank is proud to support local businesses striving for growth.

"Tiny Teddies is a long-standing customer with Yorkshire Bank and we look forward to maintaining our support for the business as it continues to grow."

Haydn Jones, Partner at Band Hatton Button, added: "It is positive to see the continued expansion of Tiny Teddies Day Nursery, which has a strong reputation for delivering provision across the region for children aged from six weeks to five years.

"Band Hatton Button has acted on behalf of the nursery since its formation and it is great to see it grow from strength to strength."
