Quizzing for good causes
Coventry law firm Band Hatton Button has raised a good sum for local homeless charity and their charity partner, Cyrenians, by holding a Quiz Night at Coventry Rugby Club.
The firm held its annual Quiz Night earlier this month and raised an impressive £808.67 for the Coventry based charity, who support and empower people in our region who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness.
23 teams from across the local business community joined the Quiz, held in the 'Band Hatton Button Marquee' at Butts Park Arena, and were tested on various rounds, from sport to advertising slogans, geography and movies. There was also a raffle which was generously supported by guests.
Cyrenians' Chief Executive Mike Fowler said, "We're really grateful to Band Hatton Button for their latest donation following this successful Quiz Night. Cyrenians rely on public support and donations to enable us to continue our work, and this sort of sum will make a real difference to us. We are also very much looking forward to the Charity Ball that Band Hatton Button are organising for us in May."
Head of Marketing and Client Relations at Band Hatton Button, Sarah Jordan, added: "We are keen to give something back to our local community, which is why we have chosen to support Cyrenians and host another Quiz Night. Our Quizzes are always well supported and we were delighted with the sum raised. The night itself was great fun and came down to a tense tie breaker between Dafferns and Handelsbanken, with Dafferns just scraping a win by more closely guessing the height of the Eiffel Tower!".
