Band Hatton Button's Jon Wilby has been appointed as chairman at one of Coventry's leading business forums.

Jon Wilby, Head of Litigation at Coventry-based solicitors Band Hatton Button, will be juggling his day job alongside being the face of C&W First until October 2020.

C&W First is a forum exclusively run by and for professional and financial services firms in Coventry and Warwickshire - it has more than 40 members which range from entrepreneurial start-ups to family firms and global organisations.

His new role will see him representing the forum at events and developing a strategy to build the forum's membership and profile.

Jon is a founding member of C&W First since it launched in 2005, and has been a board member since 2015.

He said: "Coventry and Warwickshire is going through a period of resurgence with a lot of external investment coming into the region, so there has never been a better time to be representing the interests of Coventry and Warwickshire's professional services community.

"My focus as C&W First Chairman is to build further relationships for the forum with other business and community leaders in the region at a time of great opportunity.

"I'm especially looking forward to hosting a breakfast briefing alongside Andy Street in January, which will be held at Band Hatton Button, and builds upon the fantastic recent events held with the leaders of Coventry City Council and Warwickshire County Council."
