Our best year to date
We're please to announce that we've smashed our financial targets for the third year in a row.
In the twelve months to 5 April 2016, we've increased our turnover yet again, resulting in our best year to date.
March was the firm's most successful month ever, partly due to a buy-to-let rush as landlords hoped to beat the stamp duty increase. The peak saw the firm's Residential Property Team smash their target, coming in at a record 144%.
"The past twelve months has been our best trading period ever," said Mark Moseley, managing director here at Band Hatton Button.
"There has been particularly high demand in Coventry's property market, driven by landlords looking to snap up property for the city's booming student population and in part due to the stamp duty increase that was introduced in April. This isn't to say our commercial and residential property teams have been the only ones busy - I am delighted that we have had high work levels across the entire firm recently with every team putting in sterling performances".
The good financial news the firm has announced comes on top of a raft of promotions and appointments over recent months, all which support the firm's Strategy and plans.
A dozen new members of staff have joined in the last financial year and the firm has also promoted a number of staff, with a further four lawyers promoted on the first day of the new financial year.

The promotions we have made in the past 12 months are all well-deserved and have rewarded those who have been at the right point in their careers, whilst our new recruits have all settled into their respective teams well and have really hit the ground running. Around three quarters of the work we do comes to us via recommendation because of the quality of our staff, their expertise and the exemplary levels of customer service we strive for at all times.
