Lisa Moseley Joins Solicitors for the Elderly
Lisa Moseley becomes an Associate Member of Solicitors for the Elderly
We are delighted to announce that Lisa Moseley, a Chartered Legal Executive in our Wills, Trusts & Probate Team, recently passed her Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE) exam, qualifying her as an Associate Member.
Lisa was proud to have passed with an impressive rate of 85%.
SFE is an independent, national organisation of lawyers, who provide specialist legal advice specifically for older and vulnerable people, their families and carers. Their aim is to improve the knowledge and service provided on legal issues including, tax planning, wills, enduring and lasting powers of attorney, long-term social and health care and other retirement issues.
Lisa deals with elderly clients almost daily in her line of work, commonly dealing matters such as the preparation of Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, registration of Enduring Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection applications and the administration of taxable and non-taxable estates and Trust administration.
Lisa commented "I am delighted to have passed my recent SFE qualification. Dealing with elderly clients is very much part and parcel of my job and I get a real sense of satisfaction from being able to help them. Having this qualification is a great string to my bow".
Lisa has also recently become a Dementia Friend, an Alzheimer's Society initiative to raise awareness and understanding of dementia.
Lisa joins an ever-growing number of SFE qualified lawyers at Band Hatton Button. Department head Michelle Gavin is already a fully accredited member and colleagues Keri Wood and Christina Polychronakis are Associate Members. Michelle is also a member of the SFE Birmingham Committee.
