Coventry Solicitors Go from Strength to Strength

Following in the footsteps of Michelle Gavin, Head of the Wills, Trusts and Probate Team at Band Hatton Button, the rest of the lawyers in the team are now fully accredited members of the prestigious and influential organisation Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE), after all passing a series of exams.
SFE is an independent, national organisation of lawyers, with over 1,500 members, who provide specialist legal advice specifically for older and vulnerable people, their families and carers. Their aim is to improve the knowledge and service provided on legal issues and membership requires not only a substantial amount of time working for elderly and vulnerable clients, but also meeting SFE's high criteria and strict compliance with its code of conduct.
Michelle Gavin sits on the committee of the Birmingham branch of SFE, having been a full SFE member since 2007. The other team members include Charlotte Macalister, Christina Polychronakis, Lisa Moseley and Keri Wood.

Having each worked for elderly and vulnerable clients for many years, we were all passionate about becoming SFE members and reinforcing our commitment to this area of the law; and our clients!

Band Hatton Button takes pride in the fact that they are the only firm of solicitors in Coventry where the whole team of lawyers are fully accredited members of SFE.
Never ones to stand still, the rest of the Team are also working to become Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) qualified to join Michelle who is already a fully qualified STEP member.
The team including support and reception staff have also all recently become Dementia Friends, an Alzheimer's Society initiative to raise awareness and understanding of dementia and through this we can better recognise the needs of our clients and their families from the moment that they walk through the door.
