Why did you choose the law?
I have always been passionate about progressing a career in law once I had completed my education, having first worked for a firm of Solicitors many years ago in my home town on an experience basis.
Tell us a bit about how you got here…
I am a Senior Associate in our Residential Property Department, having joined the firm in 2000.
What does your day job look like?
I undertake a wide variety of property work, dealing with all types of residential conveyancing transactions including, residential sales and purchases, both leasehold and freehold, registered and unregistered properties, buy to let mortgages, equity release, joint ownership and property transfers including gifts, matrimonial transfers and probate transfers, new build plot sales, repossession sales, relocation and re-mortgages, with each transaction being afforded the benefit of my wealth of conveyancing experience.
I always ensure I give individual attention to all clients which is evident from the number of clients that have instructed me on multiple occasions and the number of recommendations I receive from existing clients and from local estate agents.
I am proactive, an excellent problem solver and a valuable asset to clients during the sometimes fraught conveyancing process. Buying or selling a property is usually the largest single transaction most people undertake and it can be a daunting process for the inexperienced client. My ability to empathise enables this process to become as painless as possible.
What do you like to do outside of work?
When away from the office, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I am fluent in speaking Punjabi
