Tell us a bit about how you got here…
I began my career in 1981 working in the Banking Sector. Whilst working there I enrolled at college to continue my studies and completed A Level law and decided to change my career and in 2001 joined Band Hatton Button as a Legal Secretary in the Family Department.
In 2018 I was offered the opportunity to become Training & Compliance Officer. My experience with the firm’s policies and procedures provided me with the necessary experience within this role. Shortly after this I incorporated admin duties into my role and became an Admin & Compliance Manager. In 2022, the Administration Team and Client Relations Team merged, and I was offered the opportunity to become the Manager.
What does your day job look like?
My role as Administration Support Manager is to ensure the smooth running of the department. My priority is to provide a good service to the lawyers as well as clients. My day to day jobs include managing the staff and ensuring that we provide excellent service standards as a team by the answering of the incoming calls promptly and dealing with queries efficiently, retrieving wills and deeds and liaising with client enquiries in relation to these.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I have recently developed a passion for running and was a Run Leader for Sky Blues in the Community running group – In It Together for Ladies. This has now ceased so I have created my own running group and help ladies with the C25K and further training. I enjoy travelling, reading and spending time with family and friends.
