Why did you choose the law?
I became fascinated by Philosophy whilst studying at University and I feel I have always been a thoughtful person. I enjoy a challenge and like to do things that keep my brain active. I enjoy working with and interacting with people, and felt Law was one of the best areas of employment to incorporate this.
Tell us a bit about how you got here…
I studied Ancient History and Philosophy at Royal Holloway - University of London and graduated during COVID. I returned home in lockdown and after applying for a post, I was subsequently appointed to the Administration Department at Band Hatton Button. During the four years I have been a member of the firm, my career has continued to develop through roles in the Client Relations Department and I am currently working in the Residential Department as a Paralegal.
What does your day job look like?
I work directly with Rani Bola, supporting her with a variety of her files. I mainly deal with the sale files - issuing Contract Packs, responding to enquiries, obtaining redemption statements, setting up files for completion and dealing with completions. I have a hybrid working pattern in terms of working from home a couple of days a week and for the remainder I am in the office. This means that I occasionally meet with clients and I am sometimes their first point of contact.
What Do You Like to Do Outside of Work?
My main passions are theatre, dance and music and I have recently joined the Coventry Musical Theatre Society. Also, as a member of Akademy Dance School, I enjoy classes in Tap and Contemporary dance.
I enjoy travelling and going on adventures; creating memories with my friends and family is very important to me – I like to be busy!
