Part-Time Workers
Since July 2000, part-time workers are entitled to both access to and benefit from the same terms and conditions as their full-time colleagues (subject to some entitlements being on a pro-rata basis).
Notably this includes entitlement to bonus/commission where applicable, and pension rights. There are some situations where employers do not have to treat part-time workers in the same way as full-time workers. In these situations, the employer must be able to show that the less favourable treatment if justified on objective grounds.
